How is SoJor different from other newspaper and networking sites? |

SoJor is a networking and socializing site built around news. On SoJor, you can create newspapers, write news, or browse stories together with your friends or other SoJor members. Thus, you can engage in news-creation and news-sharing activities while socializing. In brief, SoJor allows you to engage in your favorite activities simultaneously. |

1. Is SoJor free? |

2. How do I change my personal information? |
|
|
You can change your personal information through the “edit profile” link, which you can find in myNewsroom. You may change your name, age, add information to your profile etc.
In order to edit your profile, make sure that you are logged in. This will bring you to “myNewsroom” where you will find the “edit profile” link underneath your profile picture. Click the “edit profile” link and make any changes to your profile on the “myProfile” page. Save your changes by clicking the “save my profile” button.

3. What is the difference between the login email address and the communication email address? |
|
|
You will always use your login email address to log into your SoJor account. In contrast, the communication email address is used to update you on your “myNewsroom” activities. By default, your communication email address is the same as your login email address. If you decide that you want the communication emails send to a different email account, please provide an alternative email address for your communication email address on the “myProfile” page. |

4. How can I change my email address? |
|
|
When you first sign up for a SoJor account, you will be asked for an email address, which you will use for future logins. In addition to your login email address, you can also provide a communication email address (on your “myProfile” page), which will be used to update you with regard to certain newsroom activities. By default, the communication email address will be your login email address. If you provide an alternative communication email address, this email address will be used for updating you on your newsroom activities. As of today, you can’t change your SoJor login email address. However, you can change your communication email address.
If you wish to change your communication email address, you need to go to your profile. Make sure that you are logged in. Once you are logged in, you will be forwarded to “myNewsroom” where you will find the “edit profile” link underneath your profile picture. Click the “edit profile” link and change your communication email address in the “myProfile” page. Make sure to save your changes by clicking the “save my profile” button.

5. How can I change my password? |

To change your password, you need to go to your profile. Make sure that you are logged in. Once you are logged in, you will be forwarded to “myNewsroom” where you will find the “edit profile” link underneath your profile picture. Click the “edit profile” link and change your password in the “myProfile” page. Make sure to save your changes by clicking the “save my profile” button. |

6. What are privacy settings? |
|
|
SoJor is a socializing site that is build around the creation and sharing of news. As such, browsing your friends’ or friends’ friends profiles is an important means to meet people, make friends…socialize. Therefore, your privacy setting is set to “Anyone may view my profile” by default. This means that your profile is publicly available and can be read by other SoJor users.
In contrast, if you wish to keep your profile more private and to share your profile with only your friends, you have to select the “Only my friends may view my full profile” setting. This will allow only your friends to browse through your profile.
To change your privacy settings, go to your profile. Make sure that you are logged in. Once you are logged in, you will be forwarded to “myNewsroom” where you will find the “edit profile” link underneath your profile picture. Click the “edit profile” link and change your privacy setting in the “myProfile” page. Make sure to save your changes by clicking the “save my profile” button.

8. Somehow, I can’t create an account. What should I do? |
|
|
Try to do the following and see whether it works:
· Delete your browser’s cookies and temporary Internet files. Close all your browser windows and try to register again
· Make sure you didn’t use any spaces at the end of your email address or passwords.
· Someone else may use your email address. In this case, please go to “Retrieve Password” to have the password of the account sent to you. You then can login with your email account and click on “cancel account” to remove the account using your email address. If you register with your own email address, nobody else will be able to use it.

9. I forgot my password, what can I do? |
|
|
Go to the “Retrieve Password” link to have the password of your account sent to the email address that you used when you first signed up for your account. The password will be send to your login email address. |

10. Why haven't I received any confirmation email when I registered with SoJor? |
|
|
Please, check your junk email folder for your confirmation email. It is possible that your email provider has set very strict spam filters so that even valid emails are being filtered and classified as junk. Please, mark SoJor emails as non-junk emails, so that you will be able to receive all relevant email messages from SoJor. |
